The parliament of Kuwait is the strongest parliament in the Arab world. Aljazeera just interviewed Dr.Nasri Alsan'3 a Kuwait PM and the head of The Arab Region Parliamentarians Against Corruption (ARPAC).
Simply,  this man has devoted great efforts to combat corruption in his home country and decided to spread his experience to all Arab countries who suffers of corruption by providing guidance and simplified introduction to states finance and accounting, this might be invaluable for parliament members who don't have the needed knowledge and experience to stand against corrupt officials in the Arab world.

As Jordanians are in heated debate about the performance of the x-parliament, I suggest inviting this guy to give training courses for our newly elect PM's: some suggested courses:

- Corruption 101
- Emsik 7arami.
- Easiest methods to discover hidden links between officials and the private sector.
- How to learn from the past, special cases study for Bank of Petra & Global business Gate.

The interesting part was that Dr.Alsani3 has praised Jordan for some enhancements in the counter-corruptions policies and laws. Unfortunately, he came to Jordan to discuss how to improve the cooperation between Jordan and his organisation but he was not allowed to meet top officials in the kingdom !

  1. Very Interesting Article, However , In K8 Parliament , How Can We Ensure The Integrity Of The Members ? OK , They Are Always Busting The Ministers And Questioning Them About EVERYTHING, But , Who Ask The Members Themselves?
    Thanks Hector,

welcome Lunar nawar il blog :P

I'm not aware of their internal system, but what I know is they have the courage to stop any minister and ask him min ayna lak hatha. comparing with Jordan, this is a very advanced stage.

:| :| are u sure that ure talking about the kuwait parliament??
hehe, i hope u can read every article in alrai newspaper and see how fragile their system.

every now and then u can notice that even by questioning them u cant get the *right* answer !!
its all hidden between papers and money if u know what i mean :D

anyhow, if u want to talk about kuwait advantages compared to Jordan then look at the income of individual and how much they encourage them to be creative and their policy is that every kuwaiti at least should have an income of 200 kd (around 500 jd) witout working or even a certificate :\ !! if am not wrong its the 1st or 2nd country in highest individual income.

thats why u can see the ministers are fighting all the time, the base of this country (oil) is being misused in many ways cause giving money without a return will have its affects in the long term !

    interesting :D

Farah: I liked the idea, elected members come from different backgrounds, an introduction course would make them aware of the game.

Shaima: their cake is bigger than ours. Oil industry has wide margins for fraud and corruptions, still in Kuwait the situation is better, in KSA UAE Iraq & Libya, oil deals and contracts are top secret matters.

back to Jordan, we need loud voices to face the government, we need to know how to say NO when we encounter official working against the public interest, obviously we miss these skills. what impressed me in that DR is his systematic approach, he has, guidelines and live example. kama shwoi b7ki ya 3alam mishan alla bs it3alamo
