Posted by Shaheen on Sunday 20 December 2009 , under , | comments (2)

Convoy in Jordan to Grand Welcome
23/12/2009
By Mohammad Ben Hussein at The Jordan Times (23rd Dec)

AMMAN- Activists on Tuesday gave a grand welcome to a humanitarian aid convoy en route to Gaza to mark the first anniversary of Israel’s offensive on the coastal enclave.
Some 200 trucks entered the Kingdom through the Jaber border crossing yesterday afternoon, and were greeted by professional association and opposition activists.

The Professional Associations Council (PAC) organised a special event for the convoy, named “Viva Palestina” at the border crossing, including a press conference in which activists called for lifting the siege on Gaza.
Among the speakers was PAC President Abdullah Obeidat, who is also president of the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA), British MP George Galloway and former Islamist MP Ali Abul Sukkar, who also heads the JEA freedoms committee.

The parliament of Kuwait is the strongest parliament in the Arab world. Aljazeera just interviewed Dr.Nasri Alsan'3 a Kuwait PM and the head of The Arab Region Parliamentarians Against Corruption (ARPAC).
Simply,  this man has devoted great efforts to combat corruption in his home country and decided to spread his experience to all Arab countries who suffers of corruption by providing guidance and simplified introduction to states finance and accounting, this might be invaluable for parliament members who don't have the needed knowledge and experience to stand against corrupt officials in the Arab world.

As Jordanians are in heated debate about the performance of the x-parliament, I suggest inviting this guy to give training courses for our newly elect PM's: some suggested courses:

- Corruption 101
- Emsik 7arami.
- Easiest methods to discover hidden links between officials and the private sector.
- How to learn from the past, special cases study for Bank of Petra & Global business Gate.

The interesting part was that Dr.Alsani3 has praised Jordan for some enhancements in the counter-corruptions policies and laws. Unfortunately, he came to Jordan to discuss how to improve the cooperation between Jordan and his organisation but he was not allowed to meet top officials in the kingdom !

Hello world !
